Making Sure The Trailer Is There When You Get Back To The Ramp. . .There are three models:

** For normal 50mm tow balls and couplings there is a Saracen Standard model lock. This lock is well priced, and seems much more robust than some other economy locks. It protects the trailer when parked unhitched from the vehicle.

** We chose the Saracen Ultra model, as it is well designed and can be used whilst the trailer is hitched or unhitched. It also suits a standard 50mm ball.

** For off road trailers, the Saracen Off Road hitch lock model suits trailers with a standard DO35, and it fits all D035 variants (version 1, 2 and 3).

** We also purchased the Torpedo Hitch pin which secures the tow bar to the vehicle receiver.

All the locks shown here, are made from hardened high tensile steel, and incorporate, a high-security seven-pin barrel lock with tubular key, which is resistant to picking, drilling and gas freezing.

All three hitch locks also include three, anti-copy, tubular keys.

Also of interest, all three hitch locks, lock the trailer chains inside, providing extra security for the uncoupled trailer. Many a thief just ignores a lock, and hooks-up the rig using just the trailer’s chains.
